The Alorair Restoration Product line introduces the 600X, which incorporates the latest Alorair SLGR Technology. Our newest addition, the Storm SLGR 1600X dehumidifier, is equipped with advanced SLGR technology. It has the capability to remove 160 pints per day (PPD) at AHAM standards and 130 liters at 30℃/80% conditions.

Alorair has successfully combined high efficiency and the ability to operate at high temperatures, even exceeding 130 Degrees Fahrenheit, in a single drying machine. These dehumidifiers are both durable and portable, allowing them to function reliably in extreme conditions while efficiently extracting large quantities of moisture. They exhibit exceptional performance across a wide range of job site conditions, particularly in situations with low humidity and high temperatures.

The Storm SLGR 1600X dehumidifier, housed in a rugged rotational molding casing, excels in effectively operating in severely damp environments following flood damage.

As a water damage restoration professional, it is crucial to have access to professional-grade equipment that enables you to handle the most challenging tasks and deliver exceptional results for your clients. A powerful SLGR dehumidifier serves as a vital tool in your equipment arsenal.

Design Features

  1. SLGR Microchannel Technology
  2. Convenient storage for cable and drain tube
  3. Condensate pump
  4. Epoxy powder coating for corrosion protection
  5. Quick access to internal service
  6. Quick connector for Drain Tube and Cable
  7. More capacity, less power consumption
  8. Convenient water pipe and power line storage: You can store the water pipe and power line in the top box.

Dehumidifiers play a critical role in two specific areas of restoration work:

  1. Structural damage: Floods often result in significant damage to wooden structures, making them susceptible to mold and rot. This can lead to uneven floors and distorted door frames, posing high risks to occupants. Exterior walls are prone to absorbing moisture from the condensed water on their cooler surfaces. As the temperature of the walls continues to decrease, they absorb more water, ultimately causing extensive damage to the wall material. The cost of maintenance for repairing rot and mold-related damage to wooden structures amounts to approximately 15% of all wooden components, exceeding the destruction caused by fire.

  2. Health Conditions Related to Waterborne Diseases: Flooding creates excessive dampness and moisture. When the relative humidity in an area reaches 60% or higher, it becomes an ideal breeding ground for mold, mildew, and fungi. These microorganisms thrive on damp wood surfaces, dirt, cardboard, and any type of paper material. Dampness-related factors acn have long-term, cumulative effects on people's overall health.

The Solution

The Storm SLGR 1600X dehumidifier, designed specifically for the restoration market, delivers exceptional dehumidifying and restoration capabilities. It surpasses traditional dehumidifiers by incorporating Alorair's unique SLGR Technology. In addition to its outstanding performance in normal humidity and temperature conditions, the Storm SLGR 1600X excels in dehumidifying hot and dry environments as well as cold and humid environments, making it an indispensable tool in the restoration field.

How Does SLGR Work?

ALORAIR SLGR technology incorporates SLGR microchannel technology, resulting in improved performance and efficiency. This technology utilizes a specialized air-to-air heat exchanger system, which brings the air closer to the dew point temperature before passing it over the super-cooled evaporator coils. When combined with the Microchannel Alu Condenser, the capacity and efficiency of the dehumidifier are maximized. The microchannel condenser aims to enhance energy efficiency by improving the dispersion effect by 50%, increasing the heat exchange area by 30%, and reducing the required refrigerant quantity by 50%.

When integrated with SLGR microchannel technology, the dehumidifier's efficiency can be increased by 30% to 50%. This results in more condensation forming on the coils inside the machine, facilitating faster heat exchange and leading to increased moisture removal and reduced moisture in the returned air. This enhanced efficiency makes the ALORAIR SLGR dehumidifier exceptionally suitable for low-humidity conditions.

Difference Between LGR/SLGR and Conventional Dehumidifiers:

The term "LGR" on a dehumidifier label does not simply indicate a marketing term. The IICRC S500 2006 defines LGR dehumidifiers as having an enhanced refrigeration system that enables them to achieve significantly lower humidity levels compared to conventional dehumidifiers. This is accomplished through precooling designs and air-to-air heat exchangers. LGR dehumidifiers can effectively remove moisture below 34 grains per pound (GPP) and consume less electricity while continuing to operate at lower humidity levels, such as 80°F/20%, where conventional dehumidifiers may not be effective.

As a water damage restoration professional, it is essential to have professional-grade equipment that enables you to handle challenging tasks and deliver exceptional results for your clients. A powerful dehumidifier is a crucial tool in your equipment arsenal. We offer a range of professional dehumidifiers, including both LGR and conventional options. Understanding the differences between these types will help you determine which one is best suited for your specific needs.
