The TM5-C is a Counter Rotating Brush machine designed to provide low-moisture carpet cleaning for residential and commercial settings. The TM5-C is 20 inches wide, making it perfect for use on larger homes, showrooms, open areas, and commercial jobs.

The TM5-C can be used as part of encapsulation cleaning. The counter rotating motion of the TM5-C lifts carpet pile and allows for your cleaning solution to be worked deep into the carpet fibers. This results in a deep clean that is fast-drying, thorough, and complete.

The TM5-C comes standard with blue brushes which are perfect for most residential and commercial applications. Other Brushes to consider include:

How to Use Your CRB Machine

STEP 1: Preparation

  • Before cleaning, remove furniture and obstacles for full access to high traffic areas.
  • Use protective measures to safeguard walls, baseboards, and other surfaces from potential splashes or overspray.
  • Vacuum the carpet to eliminate loose dirt, dust, pet hair, and other debris from the surface and carpet fibers.
  • Pre-Vacuuming allows for the encapsulation solution to better target the deep embedded soil and tough stains in a carpet without interference from surface contaminants.
Carpet Cleaning Preparation
Carpet Cleaning Encapsulation

STEP 2: Encapsulation

  • Once the carpet has been prepped by vacuuming, apply the encapsulation solution with a pump-up sprayer.
  • Distribute the solution evenly so that it can be absorbed into the carpet pile.
  • For tough stains, it may be necessary to pretreat the area with a specialized stain remover before encapsulating.

STEP 3: Agitation with CRB Machine

  • Once the encapsulation solution has been applied, use your CRB machine to agitate the solution.
  • Agitation allows for the encapsulation solution to penetrate the carpet fibers, allowing for it to work on deeply held dirt and soil.
  • The mechanical action of the CRB machine also helps to lift and rejuvenates the carpet pile, resulting in a cleaner and fresher appearance.

Carpet Cleaning Drying

STEP 4: Drying

  • After the encapsulation solution has been agitated into the carpet fibers, it begins to dry.
  • During the drying process, the encapsulation agents in the solution form crystals or polymers around the soil particles, helping to separate the soil from the carpet fibers.
  • This encapsulation process helps prevent the soil from reattaching to the carpet fibers and keeps it suspended for easy removal during the subsequent vacuuming step.
  • Using fans and dryers can help speed up the drying process.

STEP 5: Vacuuming

  • Once the encapsulation solution has dried, it will have formed crystals around the soil particles.
  • A thorough vacuuming removes the encapsulated soil particles from the carpet, leaving behind a clean and refreshed surface.
  • The vacuuming process should be done using a high-quality vacuum cleaner equipped with appropriate attachments for carpet cleaning.
  • Some encapsulation solution is naturally left behind in the carpet carpet fibers, making the carpet more soil resistant in the future.
